England 2011 Defender 130 Puma 2.4 SW Bali Blue
Who makes a decent looking winch bumper for Defenders with A
Seriously thinking of fitting a Warn Zeon to my Puma but can't decide on a winch bumper, not keen on the winch sitting out in front of the car look. Possibly thinking of going down the Mantec bumper with soft A bar route ( pic below) or going for a tubular bumper but prefer the look of a standard or tapered bumper,
Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated,

Hi Skeggy

Got the exact set up shown with the Mantec/Flatdog DRL bumper, A bar and Zeon winch, I fitted clips to my number plate and fitted it to the fair lead rollers to hide the hook and put the wee idiots off trying to unspool the cable Thumbs Up

Have a mooch around the link below. I bought a non-winch tapered HD one from them. Good value for money in my opinion and an excellent hard wearing resilient finish.

Had a the exact setup as shown in your above photo. All as land rover would have supplied. Warn winch, soft Abar, and mantec bumper. Changed to a D44 bumper when the mantec bumper failed causing the end section to then shove into my wing causing a great amount of damage. Very poor quality, and design. D44 one is stunning quality.

I will second the quality of the D44 kit Andy, had one on the silver 110 with an 8274 on it, great piece of kit but weighed a ton! Decided this time to cut the amount of weight hanging out the front of the car and reduce the winch size as I mainly use it for pulling heavy equipment into the back of our Sprinter

Ultimately that would be my ideal winch set up, but the bumper isn't compatible with my soft A bar. Sad 110 D250 SE HT

I prefer the bumper being straight without the winch protruding, I had a non A/C TD5 and that had a tapered winch bumper that looked much tidier. If you get after market A/C fitted they keep the original front end without using the extension that spaces the grill forward. I was wondering how much work it would be to relocate the A/C condenser further back allowing me to use a non A/C bumper. 90 300 TDI SW (sold)

+1 on the D44. Martin and the team at Devon 4x4 did a cracking install for me last week. Also fitted the Safari RAI at the same time. Looks amazing.
