What's it called? Battery post fixing bolt?
I'm trying to earth a winch cable via the battery earth but the 6mm bolt with the 't' end upon which the tapered nut screws to tighten the battery clamp is too short. Only 2mm protudes above the top of the fixing nut. I'm after a longer one so I have enough thread to screw the other cable on. Hope that makes sense!

But, what the hell is that type of bolt called?

I had the same problem when fitting the winch on my 110.

I got round it by getting the correct size bolt and then grinding the head down to form the 'T' using a bench grinder.

If memory serves me it is a T head bolt, normally used for fixing aluminum extrusions.

Alternative is a battery clamp with a 8 mm stud. It is possible to fit up to 4 35 mm2 cables onto the stud terminal.

Cheers Brendan,

I got that gear from Dave Bowyers however the new 110 has a nicely made up cable connection that's all protected - don't want to risk cutting back the rubber to remove the existing clamp when this t-head bolt may do the job.
