The Disco3 has now morphed into an exciting 110 County Utility Wagon, courtesy of Macrae & Dick, Inverness. Less like driving, more like captaining a yacht, and a bit noisier than the Disco, but loving it so far!
Can't wait to start kitting it out. Pictures in gallery. 2012 Defender Utility Wagon 1981 SIII 88 inch SW Follow our blog: www.newlifeinnorthernscotland.blogspot.co.uk |

Yes, the dealer is Macrae & Dick. The potential for jokes about the name in the light of poor service is immense, so they'd better be good! (Certainly have been so far). 2012 Defender Utility Wagon 1981 SIII 88 inch SW Follow our blog: www.newlifeinnorthernscotland.blogspot.co.uk |

One thing I already like about the Defender; it doesn't "bong". The Disco used to bong all the time. Bong if I put a curry on the passenger seat, bong if I open the door with the key in the ignition, bong if I take the key out with the light on. Used to drive me nuts. So far, silence with the Defender. Nice to have a vehicle that just goes when you tell it to, rather than trying to run your life for you. 2012 Defender Utility Wagon

The only thing your new Defender will do is give one single "PING" when your fuel gauge will hit reserve level
Nice new Defender Ready for rustproofing all over You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

I noticed this too - esp when I jumped in the D4 yesterday to drive down the field and it was bonging away re belts and doors. My X5 takes it one step too far and engages Park and handbrake if you try to drive off with a door not fully closed. Now that's annoying. Enjoy the defender and don't get upset by its foibles. |
