Very stiff heater directional controls!
My heater directional controls are very stiff (enough to have broken both the knob and the control unit channel guides under previous ownership). I've managed to free things off a bit and now have three options working. Before I replace the control unit (broken guide on wheel) I want to be sure the actual baffles are free running- I'm pretty sure this is what causes the stiffness. Presumably a dash off job, but any advice appreciated on how to fix the issue.

Whilst the dash is off I also intend to:
replace the heater dash bulbs
identify/fix a footwell leak
Anything else I should sensibly look at whilst its off?

Thanks.
