What size tyres for a 200tdi?
Hi guys,

Just after a bit of advice really. What size tyre would you recommend for the 200Tdi, i'm after some KM2's but don't want to go too big that the Truck will struggle. I will be putting a full width Alisport intercooler with hoses on it.

Thanks in advance.

Mark

'Standard' size would be 235/85/16 but I'd go with 265/75/16 as I think that size works better Thumbs Up John

Yeah, i really don't want to lose any power, maybe the 235's would be best? Or do you think the 265's would be fine with a disco transfer box?

i have 235/85 on my 200tdi (disco) powered 90 with a disco transfer box and it seems pretty good to me. Never seems to struggle with that setup, Not so easy to set off in 2nd gear as it was though, but top end and motorway much better, easily cruises at a measured 70 which will do me. Does it fairly quietly compared with before the transfer box was fitted - used to howl along then.

i run both these sizes on mine (BFG ATs) works very well on std setup/suspension/gearing. Cheers

You can get a 255/85 size which gives a bit more width AND height, I have 265/75 and they look a little low/fat for my liking...Wink

cheers
