2008 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Tonga Green

Purpose of the holes in the rear crossmember

Does anyone have knowledge of the designed purpose of each hole in the rear crossmember?

A couple are jacking points, one is for the PTO, others for various tow hitches, but does anyone have a side-to-side description of each one?

Has the idea of a set of blanking plugs for the unused ones, for sake of tidyness, every been mentioned?

Yes the 2 end ones if you look support the bar the otherside that runs up the inside of the tub onto which the rear seats attach Mike
