What steering wheel ???

Evening all, (no i'm not D O D G)

Just bought a 90 300Tdi and would like to fit a smaller aftermarket wheel but not having owned a defender before, i had series 3's over 20yrs ago, Shocked i am obviously out of the loop as to what fits what and what's good and comfortable etc....
Any advice would be brilliant, thank you.

There are a few posts with pics on here already showing the different types of steering wheels members have fitted. The only way for you to know for sure what will fit onto the steering wheel spline on your defender is to remove the wheel and count the splines. Then once you know that you can get a boss then the wheel of your choice to fit it. I personally went with the Momo Jet Leather Steering Wheel from Alive tuning as it matches the interior of my Puma.

When you've fit these aftermarket steering wheels do you not find the indicator/wiper stalks too far away from the wheel?

Me neither, if anything it is easier as the stalk is not so close to the wheel because of the boss.

PM Leeds (Brendan) and he will give you the latest price - approx 187.

Price does include 2 bosses, one 36 spline and one 48, you return the unused one.

You are right, not cheap but very good quality Thumbs Up

I have the leather Raid on mine with the matching centre pad - very nice (almost "Rangeroveresque").
Also makes driving with elbow on door/cubby much more comfy Thumbs Up
Don't be tempted to get the PU (plastic) one - they feel horrid... BAS remap, intercooler and hybrid turbo and I'm god of the road Smile

Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...
