Stupid question, but I assume you have the seats, belts, etc. - were they expensive?

Lovely job Thumbs Up
Can't begin to tell you the problems you'd have doing such things in Germany - seriously cramps my creativity Big Cry Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

more pics to come very soon Smile they are very well fabricated got them off of a guy who unfortunately no longer makes them due to alot of time wasters Big Cry i was lucky as it was his last pair, they are double skinned so reinforced reasonably well were needed, all we had to do was cut the original arch as the pic shows and rivet the new pieces over the top Thumbs Up i gotta seal them all off properly and paint and waxoil the underneath once thats all done it should look original Smile

Nice work Killer, surprised that you didn't 'wet assemble' the inserts whilst riveting them in, would have made a better seal!

Lucky with the seats too! Wanna pick six numbers for next weeks lottery for me? Laughing If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

Laughing Laughing k9f cheers Thumbs Up i have sprayed all around were we cut then tiger sealed and bonded along the arch and also the fabricated piece pushed it down and it oozed out so got me hand under the arch from outside and smeared it all around the seems then gunna rivet it then after silicone all the seems again and also the welds just to be sure Wink then spray the underneath black then a few coats or waxoil out of the spray gun that should keep the water out me thinks Cool more pics tom come soon Thumbs Up

Hi K90. Looks like a very neat job. I'm probably teaching you to suck eggs but the Puma has a tiebar or tube that connects between the rear crossmember and the underside of the wheelarch. Its held in place by a square plate with 4 bolts welded on it, a torx bolt and the lower seat belt anchor bolt i.e. 6 fixings. 2 torx bolts through the crossmember complete the fixing. Landrover say this is essential for the safety of the rear seat and belt installation. If you need further info I have pics from the job I did installing Puma seats into the load area of a 5 seat Puma.

cheers matey yer already know about the bar but thanks anyways Thumbs Up the td5 has a similar bar which again is in place for the seat belts and also there is a bar inside of the td5 which the lap belts attach too i am either going to stick a couple of lap belts in save all the faffing about or fit the genuine belts as i do have access to these just not the interior trim Big Cry
