They were invented to stop the Puma Defenders from getting water sucked in to the fuel filler cap due to the Puma being a vacuum system rather than a pressurised tank as the TD5 was, hence the problem also with breather pipes sucking water into the tank and ruining the injection pump which was yet another service bulletin from LR. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

I have a defendoor on my current Puma and the one prior to that. I will say they are easy to forget at petrol stations, I lost one like that just the other month
