the loom isn't there if it's not std fit or has been a factory fitted option,I had to wire ours in on the TD5 County we had. 2.4 90 XS

For the windscreen in my 110DC I used the redundant wiring for the heated rear screen, so have the light up switch, and the dash warning light, but no auto off relay. Still excellent, as it only takes a minute or so to clear.

There are choices of colours for the screen itself - green or clear - I went clear. 2001 TD5 110 DCPU in Bonatti Grey

Yeah I wonder why they didn't put an auto off switch in the rear screen like they used for the front, I normally keep an eye on the lights and turn the rear screen off as so as I notice the front one has turned off Thumbs Up Russell

If the heated windscreen is not fitted from the factory, its extremely unlikley that the wiring will be present. Where fitted, its part of the main wiring loom, not a separate part.
LR seem to have gone away from the "one size fits all" philosophy. Microcat lists 40 different main loom assemblies for the 2007 Defender Shocked

Make sure you buy a genuine land rover screen. The britpart ones have a hiddeous silver strip at the top and bottom, and use a bazarre three wire arrangement! Shocked

There are no wiring instructions with the britpart screens, just three thick wires with no connectors fitted. Connect the original connectors to the screen, and it won't work. There's that mysterious stray wire in the middle. Confused

Looks hideous with the silver strips, so use original equipment instead, which has the correct spade connectors on each side.
