I'm probably being thick but..
If I click on the 'watch this topic' button and then get a message saying 'you are now watching this topic' how do I subsequently go back and have a look at the topics that I'm watching?

It must be blindingly obvious but for the life of me I can't find the 'watched topics' button, just wanted to get a few topics together to read later when I have more time.

If someone can point me in the right direction I'd be obliged.

Ta

Afaik , It's not really designed for that... (though there is a mod which allows a watch list tobe viewed)
A watched topic is one that you get notification (by email) when someone posts to it.

To do what your after, often people, make a dummy post in a thread, if they want to mark/tag it for later reading .... Not ideal, especially if lots of people do it. ... Not sure if it's discouraged here?

Duplicate the tab and keep refreshing it, probably the easiest short term method.

Ah - I have it now, just got an email to say you replied to the topic so that's it.

I'm on a couple of other forums where you get a 'watched topics' list to click on but I guess forums are different depending on the set up.

So don't watch too many unless prepared for a deluge of emails Very Happy

I guess the dummy post idea would work ok but as you say could be annoying if too many people do it.

Thanks

Newer browsers have 'reading lists' ( or add on) ...basically a new type of bookmark, which keeps track of if its been read or not.
You can also try 'read it later'
http://readitlaterlist.com/

Designed for news but good for forums too

reading lists
How right you are, a little sign like spectacles on the left hand side of safari opens a 'reading list' - something I never took any notice of before, as every time I clicked on it there was nothing there, now I see what it's for Bow down

So question solved, now I can make my own lists and read later when not supposed to be doing paperwork.

Cheers
