The dimmer resistor on my Td5 was tucked in on the inner wing around or a little in front of the air intake on the right side front wing, same as the Puma.

I had a similar problem with mine a while ago, it would usually start eventually though.

In my case it was caused by a faulty starter motor, (not sure if it was worn motor brushes of shorted turns ...

Thanks to all who replied - problem solved Very Happy

It was the starter motor causing the problem, replaced it today and now it starts instantly on the first flick of the key Thumbs Up

Assuming the wipers park normally with the original relay in, it sounds to me like you've got a faulty 99 relay.
