Ideas for the new Defender. Almost a manifesto. READ THIS LR
The new concept (aka DC100): We got the Evoque already!

Taking in account the Defender's market, which nowadays are mostly farmers, enthusiast and organizations, its quite clear that LR should stick to the core values of the past, or the now successful competitors, like the Toyota Land Cuiser HZJ76 and Mercedes G Professional.

The issue with the present model is the assembling cost and also the future related safety concerns.

My conception for a proper go-anywhere vehicle is as simple as as it should be; honest to god! Rugged, simple to service, live axles bolt on manufacturing process, yet respectful to the passenger, driver and pedestrians.

I truly believe that LR could manufacture a monocoque/tubular based Defender with bolt on body panels, pretty much the same way we have seen on the present Range Rover subframe, a nice automated welded tube structure.

Such a manufacturing process would cost less than todays archaic riveted/bolted body, and could provide the same way of customization we are used to. Moreover, a monocoque tubular structure weights less, more rigid and is fully resistant to rollovers, US aware.

Swapping the outer body parts would be a one minute procedure and you could be able to leave the outer "shel" at home during severe off-roading events, no harm to the shinny AL parts.

I truly believe is time to LR once again revolutionize the 4x4 market, the same way they did with the Series, Range Rover over the 80s.

Hire me! I'm truly able spot hundreds of week spots over the past projects, and also I'm pretty much confident that there is a huge demand for a serious off-roader with optimized assembling method and way more reliable than that we have seen so far.

Please listen to us!

All the best
