Eyebrows
Just popped back to the UK for 24hrs and I've noticed a worrying trend. Have I missed something or girls ' eyebrows started to double in size and quantity of makeup? I'm sitting in G'wick departures and am surrounded by enormous black eyebrows like there's been an invasion and these enormous brows have arrived and attached themselves to any available forehead. Fashion, I'll never understand it. Back to the Alps where fashion is relatively unknown, bar the type of goretex your wearing 🙄 Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

"Back to the Alps where fashion is relatively unknown?!" I'm pretty sure there are lots of Russian ladies in Val, Meribel and (insert favourite expensive resort in the Alps) who would take great offence at that!! It takes a lot of money to look this cheap etc.

The current fashion for stencilling a slug above each eye is hard to fathom. Only a while back eyebrows were plucked to within a mm of their lives. My 13 year old daughter has just started to experiment with eye make up and so on. We've had the slug chat, it's not happening.

You are of course quite right, I should know better living just 10 min drive to Megeve. Good work on giving your daughter some direction. I think I've also noticed that (thankfully) certain parts of 80's fashion is back on trend. Stone washed ankle swinging jeans with Converse, a la Madonna and Ferris Bueller đź‘Ť

Whilst I'm on the moan, at the airport, I'll add middle aged men with top-knots. What's that all about. 🤔

And although nothing to do with fashion, there's also the invasion of the one way phone call, now made worse by ear buds, ensuring caller cannot gauge their volume to bystanders.

We have our fashion parade in St Ger this weekend, but it's cows in garlands. That I can handle. Monsieur Le Grenadier

The latest trend in the UK is to have your eyebrows tattooed. Google it Smile For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

I need to know about these things as I teach teenagers and they require delicate guidance their parents are not capable of dishing out. This guidance generally start with an appropriate wtf have you done to your face.

I’m in the same position with one of my 13 year old twins Big Cry I’ve told her if the slugs don’t go then the makeup is in the bin. Ray

Couldn’t agree more. I often think it must be someone having a joke at their expense “looks what we convinced them looks good this time!” Unfathomable, or is it middle age onset!!
