Head light/side light switch replacement
Well the light switch on my 2008 110 has finally called it quits 6 week after fitting the BoomsLang headlight upgrade. S.H.M.B.O. went out this morning, returning to form me that the light switch is jammed on side lights, she managed with some force to switch them off. I know that it will need replacing but having undergone major surgery two weeks ago and having to sit on my hands for the next 8 weeks it is S.H.M.B.O. that will have to do it. Rolling Eyes

I can talk her through taking the cowl off under the steering wheel but are there any surprises with the switch and cable connector?

I normally just pick up the phone and order what I need so is this the correct parthttps://www.paddockspares.com/prc3430g...lucas.html ?

Any help would be appreciated. Don't make old people mad.

Well I'm slowly turning S.H.M.B.O. into an apprentice. Laughing

25 minutes to change the switch with me uttering instructions like, "I don't know which screwdriver you choose", "have a look in the small red box for the security undoing things (torque head screws)" , keep the driver in line with the screws not at an angle" and "try the lights before you box it up"
If I had been well enough I know where the screw driver would have been inserted. Whistle

To be true she did well in finding the fault within two minutes of removing the cover, the retaining nut had come loose and worked its way up the thread jamming the lever of the switch, as she had the new one in her grasp she wanted to fit the new on so I let her get on with it, figuring out how to take the connector apart was a little test but she worked it out. Its all back
together and she has inspected the old switch and cannot find anything wrong with it, which I can confirm no burnt out contacts or cables.

Her next job is fitting aux driving lamp, switch and the wiring harness which should be fun. Don't make old people mad.
