All good thanks, fuel economy back to low 30s and still smooth and quiet.

Developed a small drip in the thermostat area the other day so need to look at that. I think its where I disturbed the top hose when I replaced the head.

Other than that it's all lovely jubbly Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Nothing much to report on the defender at the moment. 4k miles done with the new head and not a drop of coolant or oil used Cool

So just a photo for today Thumbs Up

Well today really has not been a very good day at all.

Ever since I changed my coolant in January I have had great difficulty bleeding all of the air out of the system. And for the first time ever this happened.........

Big Cry Big Cry

Anyway today I tested for combustion gas in the coolant and unfortunately it would seem that there is. So there we have it. After 127,000 miles I have had my first major fault with my defender Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

Will now park it up and focus on getting the range rover on the road. Once I have transport then I'll take the head off the defender and see what happens.

Looks like Mondays Cornwall meet will have to be in a different landrover product Rolling Eyes

Did I mention? Big Cry

Hi Grafty!!
Quick couple of question about the rpm clock....

1 - where did you get that from?
2 - how did you go about fitting it?
3 - did it require any other mods?

And 4thly, but not a question--- I want to say you have a stunner of a truck!!! Love the dash material inside(on my list), the colour... Wow!! also on the cards as my bike is that colour, Im actually going through the story backwards, so look forward to what I see next.. Regards
Adam

Hi Adam,

The Rev counter came from Dan at Duckworth parts(site sponsor). Fitting is relatively easy, just needs a feed from the ECU however if your defender has ABS then it might be there already Thumbs Up

The stalks are Range Rover classic ones. Again pretty easy to fit just a bit of fettling with the cowl Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

I personally do but I spread it over a few vehicles Laughing

Average on the defender is about 10k miles since I've had it. I've done 3k in the Range Rover so far this year and 5K on my motorbike. Although this year I haven't really done many miles. Probably 8k total.

I usually average about 16k miles a year between my defender and bike Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon
