That's some gun Thumbs Up

I went in a Bass Pro Shop in Peoria Illinois, I couldn't believe the amount of handguns and automatic machine guns that were out on display, hundreds of them Shocked Shocked

All banned in the uk of course.

Those were probably all semi automatic. Machine guns are considered class 3 firearms in the US and while you can own them in many states, you cant own them in Illinois. You also must go through a pretty rigorous application process to own class 3 firearms. They are heavily regulated and expensive.

Good luck getting Mrs G to try the gun!

She's got more guns than me Shocked she just became very poorly a couple of days after buying her new one Big Cry
She had a 'line' put in her neck for blood plasma exchanges and the procedure was right where she mounts the gun. She was gutted and now scared that shooting may disturb the wound.

Should be OK - as long as it's a few days down the line afterwards.

Those lines are pretty big - much bigger than 'normal' central lines (I've put loads in - usually for dialysis), but as long as her clotting and platelet count's reasonable it should be OK . It's venous pressure remember and in her neck that'll be very low once she's upright.

Hope she responds and that she gets well soon.

Nice! Looks like a short barreled PTR I got to shoot years ago. It was 308 caliber and was a handful and loud AF even with ear plugs.

I have one in the loft somewhere but unfortunately not boxed which will knock the price back somewhat. I have had it since I was a kid 50+ years ago. I also have a collection of corgi cars and can't part with any of them. I guess we are all still kids at heart.

First day out picking up this season on Saturday. It will also be the first proper day for my 15 month old lab. It has been a long time since I had a ‘first day’ out with a dog- any pointers (no pun intended)?

Thanks

Missed a lot of this, thanks for the comments guys.

We did a charity 50 clay shoot 2 weeks ago, Mrs G with her brand new gun, and she shot 31.
We shot Sunday last and she did 34/70. It was a bit of a hike and it tired her out, but she lapped it up.

We were on a really difficult stand and watched 2 guys miss 4 pairs each... Mrs G did 6/8, we had quite a queue behind us, it's really funny as when she hit the first pair, all the blokes go really quiet........

All in all, she loves her new gun Thumbs Up

just enjoy the day , don't be afraid to leave early if she/he is getting a bit unruly. explain at the briefing its a new dog and don't let any frustrations affect your temperament.
we've all been there and I have that joy to come in a few weeks!
oh and photos please
