Narrower tyre on Boost alloys
My Defender has standard alloys with 235 16 85 tyres. What narrower tyres, if any, can be used with the standard alloys, and keep the same rolling diameter?

Nothing sadly. They're a 7" wide rim.

If you want 7.50R16s you have to move to either Wolf steel wheels (6.5") which can take 255, 235 and 7.50 or the standard steel wheels which can pretty much only take 7.50s (who wants 205s on a Defender!)

Thanks for that. I forgot that the profile is a percentage of the width, but then I realised there wasn't much choice! I wasn't sure of the maximum width of tyre which would fit on the alloy rims, but I've remembered now that the steel wheels/tyres were a fair bit narrower.
