clutch rattle
hi got a 26k mile 2011 defender 110 xs has a rattle on clutch that goes away when clutch is depressed, i am thinking its the dreaded springs, its mainly used for towing a caravan and camping.

Looking for recommendations for hd clutch and slave fit and if to fit an Ashcroft or greased land rover oem input shaft i am on derby notts border but prepared to travel for a proper job!

For the clutch, probably clutchfix or from the transit 4x4; the latter probably being a bit noisier at idle as does not have the central dampering hub. Look for dgardel forum member's advice for the transit clutch.

I would go for the ashcroft output kit if I would live in the uk. I'm actually sourcing a local solution for my output shaft. Puma 110" SW

Go for a Clutchfix. Now since yours is a 2011 Defender the chances are you have not got the uprated slave cylinder so will need the valve and adaptor. Available HERE

The exact reason why LR did an uprated clutch I am unsure about. Apparently latest clutch slave cylinder gives a lighter pedal.

Think the VIN number fiited from is VIN FA459934 however I need to verify that.

Nothing wrong with it but Brendan is right you do need to change it for the new type as I don't think you can actually buy the old type any more - and you'd be silly not to change it whilst you're in there! Thumbs Up Now: 2010 2.4 TDCi 110 Utility Wagon
Then: 2004 2.5 TD5 90 Hard Top (X-Tech Edition)

The new type supposedly give a lighter pedal feel I think, though the difference is marginal.
