Small's 80" has a factory hard top that we think has always been on the car. It has Alpine lights which were probably added to the roof later and windows at each side of the back doors( one up and one down).. The rubber seals have perished and are now beginning to let the rain in.
Does anyone have any tips about supply and fitting of new rubbers as this is a job I have been putting off as it is not something I relish. However, Small is on at me to get it done and putting it off further would not keep me in her good books for long

I fitted some Perspex windows in a boat for someone a while back,
He found all the correct profile rubber from these guys... http://www.sealsdirect.co.uk/ You will also need one of these to fit the centre expanding trim. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Window-Rubber-Fit...B00EN1PA9I You will find that fitting the rubbers and glass is a fairly straight forward affair, then it’s just a case of pushing the trim tool around to feed the strip into the rubber to make it expand. Use some washing up liquid to make it slide easier. 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Thanks Ian. I assume that the warmer the day that I pick the better as the rubber will be more flexible. Is the seal

make sure you buy the right seal as there are two sizes of alpine glass 4mm and 5mm and that 1mm difference means either too tight or too big. The problem is you can really only measure the glass once it has been removed from the seal. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..
