Well said Zed. Now what about Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Mexico etc?

I wonder how many waves of immigration there has been into England?

Where do you start? With the Romans or the French? How about the Welsh and Scots invading/raiding England. How about the Vikings?

Then there was the good old British Empire/East Indian company bringing in different nationalities.

What about the Nepalese who have fought bravely in the British army as the Gurkha regiment. Let alone citizens from different nations fighting either in a British Army regiment or alongside the British army

What about the children of the immigrants?

Do you want to deport them as undesirables? If so I am out of the UK. Yes I am legally entitled to get a different nation passport, I am in fact entitled to dual citizenship. Maybe I should get that other passport ready so I can go and live in a different country

How many 'English' people can actually prove they are 100% pure English with no Roman/Viking/Scottish/Welsh influence in their make up.

The British race is a mongrel race made up of from many different races.

Brendan

I think using the word 'mongrel' as correct as it may be might potentially upset some.

Anyway I think we're losing the point here. I was simply suggesting the that the presentation made a lot of sense to me, in so much that the immigrants of today are harming their countries of origin and that the best policy would be for them to stay - certainly in the interest of their country of origin. Allowing immigrants into another country is another debate. Allowing them to leave in first place is more the point here. Thumbs Up

Isn't the main point the fact that people adopting a new country as their home should in these times respect the dominant pre-established culture of the country they are entering, rather than try to establish their own culture in its place?

Surely that is the difference between migration and colonisation?

That it is an interesting point of view. Noting your location presumably you are Native American.

Which tribe did you originate from and do you still speak in native tongue and keep traditional ways?

Iam a mix a mostly European ancestry and native American. If native Americans had controlled their borders better and had their Censored together, the outcome would have been much different. Thanks for backing up my point though.

Oh dear.

Romans, Vikings and the Normans. Immigrants?

They were not immigrants they were invaders.

Uninvited and unwanted!

The natives had no choice but to put up with it!

Again, the Native Americans show exactly what happens to natives when they have no power to resist "immigrants".

We used to have immigration and I did not object, as I had the power of say-so, albeit limited.

Not any more.

What has happened in recent years, through a toxic alliance of utopian socialism and rampant global capitalism, is the sly change from immigration to colonisation.

Utopian socialists say "Come in! Come in! Everybody welcome. Someone else will pay".

Rampant capitalism says "Come in, come in. We can make a profit out of you and our mates can make more profits by building thousands more houses for you".

In between are the colonised, who experience in their Country what the colonised of all countries have experienced:

Effectively powerless, gagged, sneered at, put down and ignored.

Their street, their town, their country and their culture - all forcibly changed without them asking for it, and to the sound of constant brainwashing that it is a "good thing".

They have no say-so as to who comes in, how they behave when here, or if they should leave. The colonised are told what to think, what to accept and what they can or cannot say.

Kind of what we did to other people, when we were the colonists, eh?

"Hate crimes" and "hate criminals"?

A colonised people will always react the same unless, like the Native Americans, they are effectively crushed.

Whilst the far-right make the mistake of identifying colonists by skin colour or religion, I do not.

I am not a racist, and it is not as simple as that.

I merely suggest you look at what is happening from "outside the box" and don't just accept what the establishment tell you to accept.

it's certainly a nice idea.

that said I do believe there are certain environmental benefits - for example if I wanted to experience certain cultures I no longer have to travel the width / breadth of the world - it's all here in Birmingham Rolling with laughter

Can you still experience the traditional "WASP"-type culture in Brum?

Last time I was there I was struck by the fact that 90%+ of the people I saw on the streets were, as Boris might say, cunningly disguised as letterboxes. There was little doubt that the dominant culture, if indeed there was one, was not the same as it might have been 100 years earlier.

It might simply have been me and few mates getting ready to rob a bank Rolling with laughter

Who made you go to Birmingham - I presume you didn't go of your own free will? I can only presume it was someone who doesn't like you very much?

I used to have to commute every day into the dreadful place. Thankfully not anymore.

Joking a side I genuinely believe in them outfits they shouldn't be allowed to drive as it MUST be a danger with peripheral vision impaired?

Love to see the backlash from that were one of the insurance companies to make a stance Shocked

Despite what Joanna Lumley tells you, the Gurkha soldiers I have worked with or have had the misfortune of being in the same Regt as them they are a lazy and slovenly bunch. Yes they may be smart with their shirts and ties to go down town but within Regimental life they don't fit.
When work comes round they either have no manpower* or all of a sudden their grasp of the English language suddenly leaves them and they don't understand a word you say.

As for others fighting alongside UK forces, the Fijians for example aren't worth the cost of the flight over here. A lot have drink issues and see wife beating as a national sport. They might be good rugby players but that doesn't make them good soldiers.

* In my Regt, the Gurkha Sqn were the biggest Sqn by number of soldiers in my Corps. 110 D250 SE HT

RRE HSE Dynamic Gone, wife killed it
VOLVO XC60 R Dynamic with some toys

There's a silver lining to the UK bringing in lots of immigrants and that is, pretty soon all your feminists will be wearing hijabs, spitting out babys and keeping their mans apartments clean.

I'm not entirely sure what point you are trying to make and your vague description of your heritage doesn't help much.

Are you saying the USA would be a better place without people like yourself?

Iam saying that native Americans didnt control their borders and they were pushed out of their territories. At some point westerners need to wake up realize it could happen to them. It's hard though when pop culture and learning institutions tell them how horrible they are and what a blight on the world they have been.

My ancestors were mostly poor, uneducated farmers and I have zero guilt about my skin color or heritage. Our president said at his inaugural address that when you let patriotism into your heart, there is no room for bigotry. I think we could all benefit living by that simple principle.
