Weird knocking noise.
Hello all.

Defender 02 TD5, just noticed a knocking noise coming from the n/s of the engine. Can't pin point the location but it doesn't
speed up with revs, depressing clutch peddle, and so on. Just ticks/knocks away like a clock. What on that side of the engine could knock that isn't effected by revs? this is all when the vehicle is parked.

Any ideas would be welcome.

Thanks Winter's here, thanks goodness!

Checked pully's and all seem fine apart from the water pump which seems to have a bit of play when you rotate it? Is that normal? Winter's here, thanks goodness!
