Rca cable question
I have damaged one of the RCA cable endings going from my head unit to my amp - resulting in one of the rear speakers not working

now i know RCA cables aren't expensive but to tear the whole dash apart lift carpets etc is a faf...

Somehow the end of the RCA (the 'plug') got squished / stretched

this is the cable in question, can i just buy a new 'rca end' and crimp / solder it together?

Or even buy the same again, cut the end off and splice it on?

I have the 4000 series from headunit to speaker amp and 6000 series RCA from headunit to sub amp..

They are a great choice. Thumbs Up

Yes, you can get RCA plugs I would be inclined to look at Amazon USA or EBay US though for higher quality.
A lot of them on the market here are rubbish, garbage as they would say. Laughing

Audio grade high silver content solder is also a good idea, Van Damme do some good plugs that maybe of interest.
I have been using gold plated RCA plugs, but I will be moving over to pure silver shortly.

It maybe a little fiddly and a gloves on job to keep skin oils etc off.

OR, there are people on eBay who you maybe able to chat with who will fit for you and are skilled at doing it regularly if you felt so inclined.
Stinger do Excellent off the shelf cables of superb grade but if you'd like a unique set of cables or plugs Van Damme is worth a look.
Even custom cables and plugs if you like..

I used to use Rockford fosgate separate rca plugs back in my stereo days but they were a bit of a faff for not much gain so I gave up on them. Not sure if they are still available but they used to be. Ray

Rockford Fosgate maybe on car audio direct, I think I saw some on there at some point but limited in range.

A few can in some circumstances be too big, the Stinger version pictured - the plugs on there are very compact but but some do stick out quite a bit. Diesels Lives Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️

I have a Hertz HDP4 mounted on the drivers side and a HDP1 mounted passengers side on some trimmed plywood...

When i was forcing the RCA for the HDP4 through its when it got damaged, i quote like how thin the cables are, obviously for the HDP1 i went with something a bit more substantial.. (and drilled a bigger hole)
