United Kingdom 1999 Defender 110 Td5 SW Chawton White
TD5 cylinder head
I've posted before on my 1999 110 loosing water about 1/2 litre every 200 miles. Runs brilliantly - done and checked everything including head (tested and slight skim), used metal locating pins. The cooling system is pressurising gurgling and water consumption has increased (have replaced pressure cap). Water coming out of cap. So it's got to be the head. Surfaces were good and perfect. So probably a not so good gasket. What do people recommend? Would you use Hylomar or similar - any suggestions?
