Brendan, I had the same issue, and just used a bit of everyday super glue every couple of inches along the cable, then pushed into the "V" between the window rubber and the headlining. Worked a treat and is virtually invisible with the black headlining Thumbs Up 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone
2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone
2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW

I fitted mine at the bottom and hid the cable behind the dash
You only need a decent picture to prove the accident
