Air con blower/radio/cigarette lighter
Need a bit of help. My blower, radio and cigarette lighter have all ceased to work at the same time... those are fuses 26/27/28 which are all good, but thereโ€™s no live feed to them. Every other fuse in the vehicle is good too.

Should I be replacing the ignition switch? Everything else works in the truck. Or how do I check if an Earth is loose?

2014 90 XS.

Thanks in advance.....

Hi, just been looking through the wiring diagram, as you probably have!
I think you're in the right area for the problem.

Fuses 26, 27, 28 are all fed through the acc position on the ignition switch, from main Fuse link 1 in the BJB.
If the hazard lights work and it starts, then there is no problem with FL1.
That would leave the ignition switch itself or the wire between the ACC output and the fusebox as the next suspects.

Before replacing the ignition switch, I'd unplug & refit any connections, then check there is no live power at the ACC pin with the ignition on.

Good luck Thumbs Up

Usually, when these fail at the same time, even if you can start up with no problem, the problem is the ignition switch. Had this happen to me 3 times already.

Also, yes, check your earths and make sure that your battery connections do not move when you try to wiggle them in all directions. After replacing the 3rd ignition switch, we checked the battery for a different issue, you couldn't move it up and down but you could move it horizontally from side to side. Made up a copper sleeve and all was right with the world for a few months then the battery died from this loose connection. But that is another story...

Thanks for the replies. Iโ€™m not the most technically minded owner but it sounds like I might be getting somewhere.
Very much appreciated..... weekend job sorted! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
