Looks very nice but the first thing that struck me was that the side lights and indicators are the wrong way around Laughing Darren

Here's another one with the lights that way round. They are certainly rare though - wonder if they came from the factory that way?

No, they've been changed, which is of course, dead easy to do. Darren

I'm interested in this subject because this petrol Defender was kept by the factory, unregistered for almost a year.

It's lights are also the "wrong way round".

Doesn't appear to have been tampered with in any way.

Why would you want to reverse the light positions?

You would have to splice in extra wire, to get the indicators to the top, and have surplus wire for the tail lights at the bottom.

Maybe a trial, or export spec?

Rear lights are much more of a minefield as LR used various different combinations for specific purposes or, as you suggest, local rules. Even the SVX models had the lights reversed, although it appears that was just to make it look nice by grouping the LED ones together. Darren
