In a nutshell-
A variable vane turbo alters it compression rate as you accelerate so will give you in theory more low down , but peaks sooner, giving a much smoother power curve with little lag. A hybrid has fixed compression ends, aimed at achieving higher compressed airflow. Its more suited for POWER but is compromised as its lazy at lower revs,hence turbo lag. Its all subjective, depends on what your wanting to achieve |

Thanks Jim,
looks like a Hybrid would suit my needs better as it has to go up and down the A45 every day to work |
