Sick of waiting for a new Defender? Can’t afford a G Wagon? Suzuki has the answer, coming in 2019...

Looks a bit "Gangsta" to me in that photo, well "Junior Gangsta" perhaps!
At least someone recognises the appeal of a simple traditional 4x4 still. I am sure it will sell well. |

Think I'll just wait for the new Defender. Can't decide which will arrive first - the new Defender or my corrosion warranty claim Defender 90XS SW

I like it. Looks similar to the jeep renegade but a little more rugged maybe.

I like it. That bumper looks very much like a G350 professional...

I like the concept, a true basic off-road working car.

Have they borrowed the front end look from Hummer?

Wot’s not to like about it? For someone like me who needs in his fleet a fun vehicle with a decent bit of ground clearance - I don’t often need 4WD but I do use some rough old tracks to get to my boat - and a plasticky easily washed interior, it ticks most of my boxes. Anything bulky like fenders I could bung in a small trailer. I doubt whether this or any new Defender will be available soft-top, the last Defender version was in such demand that Hunters were delivered only one, I returned the following day to buy it and it had already been sold. So this little truck will certainly be worth considering when my current Defender rots its way into oblivion (and although only seven years old it’s well on its way).

Strangely, one of these turned up at our trial this weekend, first time I've seen one. Not sure about the 3 cylinder 2 stroke engine though !
