Yeah so youd spend more for less?

Id take a full XS spec TD5 over a base spec TDCi anyday. I like my leccy windows, heated screen, heated seats, fancy carpet n all sorts!

Just because its newer doesnt mean better.

Agreed with above...

I'm very happy with this model, Yeh there are a few things I'd like to be different, but I can't have it all, so I'll take this (providing my buddy says it is good to go) and make the changes I want to this...

But looking up prices on parts is nuts.... I'm gonna need another 17k...lol 😂 😉

Youll love it!

Any plans for mods or upgrades?

Also what do you plan to use it for? Daily? Green lanes? Maybe the odd p&p?

It's sat out the front now, looking glorious.
Can't wait to drive it to work tomorrow.

And my mate n I will be busy Saturday fitting those bits to it...
And Sunday I hope to apply some window tint which I got for my first car but never used...

17k for a td5 defender is just flipping crazy money imo, i love my TD5 but not that much lol.. I bought mine with 172k on clock still running fine but ive no idea if its ever had a new clutch or not. How long do they typically last?

Thanks guys.
So I got the truck last month and am loving it. I have had a full service done, waxoyled the bottom, upgraded the lights, and fitted multiple security features.
And the road tax well...... Its £315 Shocked but worth it for the fun and joy.
I didn't fancy the newer engines due to massive tax increase, 300+is enough a year I think haha

We got back last night from a Norfolk camping holiday for just over a week and the drive was good.
I'd like to do a touch of green lanes (non scratchy) I'm in Bedfordshire is there anyone down this way that would like to meet and have a go?

Later today my wife and I are going to get a roof tent that a chap is selling, ready for our next trip... Just in time aswell as our tent was having alsorts of zip issues... Regards
Adam
