Horn question
Does anyone know if td5 defenders came with the wiring for twin horns? I think they should mount one behind each headlight but before I start trying to dig down to find the plug I wondered if anyone knew. Thumbs Up
Cheers

My 02' has wiring in place for twin horns (a 2way MQS connector if i recall). One is behind each front panel.

Cheers

Ok, another question. Does anyone know the wire colours for the o/s (drivers side uk) horn. I’ve had a good look and there are a pair of wires disappearing back up towards the wheel arch that are black and green/white. They are pretty stuck so if they are the correct wires I’ll drop the wheel arch cover Big Cry Ray

They are the side repeater wires, hence why they are resistant to coming out Laughing

I cant remember from memory but i think it is either purple/black or purple/brown. Should be down towards the headlamp 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread

Well I would start off on an I've got a bigger one but I know someone will better me. I've just mounted the twin trumpets inside my 110, just need to plumb in the air supply now. Doing a bit of a rearrangement so that the tank won't continually bleed out air via the Ashlockers.

Can get a photo tomorrow. Ed

There was another pair of wires going in the same direction that I’d convinced myself were the repeater wires but I’m usually wrong Rolling with laughter there were no other spare wires by the headlight so it must be one of the two pairs that went back towards the arch spat. I’ll have another look tomorrow Thumbs Up Ray

I was thinking of a train horn or a Tour de France horn but I’ve got a spare defender standard one in the garage so that will do for now. Ray

I have several but I keep killing them and they seem pathetic. What really took the biscuit was a police patrol car realising at the last minute he didn't want to be in the filter lane. Apparently a white 110 isn't big enough to see right next to him (I mean literally next to his door). Thankfully I managed to avoid a collision but from that moment started investigating better alternatives.

Then sourced a power steering relay box and pair of trumpets for the princely sum of £50 so a plan was hatched. Given I've already got an on board air setup (air con compressor style not weedy electric one) for the Ashlockers I don't think I'll struggle for air... Ed
