14 CUX Speed sensor
I'm putting a 3.9 14 cux V8 in my 90 shortly.
I'm using TD5 instruments and YBE100530 speedo transducer. Will the transducer produce a suitable signal for the 14 cux ecu ? The Land Rover 90 - Many are called, few are chosen.

Yes I took a T off the speedo wire to provide a speed signal to the ECU when I built my 90 Also can be found on Fb, Ytube, Insta & Twitter @4WDSouthwest

That's cool Devon-Rover, so the Defender transducer gave the right signal to the ECU ?

Yup.

I swapped the disco 1 transducer for the TD5 defender one as I had the td5 defender dash fitted mainly because the NAS speedo cable and remote Speed sensor was NLA.

From my experience the 14CUX system from my 90 build doesn't want to see an exact number of pulses just a form of signal and It'll hold the higher Idle revs so you don't get the stalling and fluffing about you see on the ones where the speed sensor is unplugged and for example when you come off the throttle and brake to a halt at traffic lights. It held the raised revs until I stopped and then the IACV stepped the idle down lovely.

Thumbs Up Also can be found on Fb, Ytube, Insta & Twitter @4WDSouthwest

I agree... when I had a 3.9 EFI in my old 110 hicap, prior to fitting the speed transducer it used to stall all the time when coasting to a stop.

Fitted the transducer and it stopped it. Mine had the old mechanical speedo, so I just got the cable to attach to the transducer to speedo head (think it was a 110 NAS part... I've got the part numbers somewhere)
