IPhone storage delete question
I have an iPhone 6s & an iMac.
I want to simply delete pics/video off the phone once I have transferred them to my Mac.

When I go to free up storage I get the message that any deletions will delete across all devices.
Is there a simple way of deleting off the phone but not the Mac
TIA

It's an iphone.... you'll need to ring NASA then get permission from the governmet before you can do anything remotely easy... unlike an android of course Laughing

Tap iCloud. Tap Photos. Under Photos, you can slide a switch to turn off your iCloud Photo Library. To get rid of iCloud Photo Library on all of your devices, follow steps #1 to #3, but then go to iCloud Storage > Manage Storage > iCloud Photo Library, then choose Disable and Delete.

Nicked from internet , far too technical for me to know !

It depends how you are storing them on your iMac.

If you want a safe way to back up, then use Image Capture to access the photos on your phone. Transfer them to a new folder/file on your desktop - not to Photos. This separates the photos from the Apple system and gives you a permanent set of your photos.

I do not store photos in iCloud, so cannot advise on deletion from experience.
