United Kingdom 2002 Defender 110 Td5 Black LE Java Black
My 14 yr old daughter often pleads with me not to use the DCPU to drop her places. "It's so embarrassing"... "Why can't you use Mum's car?" etc. My response is normally "we could take the 101 if you like".

I offered her the opportunity to help fund a privacy tint on the 2nd row windows. As you can imagine this didn't go down too well... Whistle

But then on one such trip she was accompanied by a friend whose first words on climbing in were "This car is so cool", which was a gift to me because I now have ammo to rebuff the moaning Laughing

My kids love the Defender's, their friends even tell me off if I pick them up in eurobox! Not sure they've got to the age where image matters yet though! Whistle James

The Defender Ninety was the only vehicle on Top Gear's Super Cool Wall from the day they created it to the bitter end of the series. Show your kids a few re-runs.

Good news, 24 hours on and no discernible change - she’s not monosyllabic, not stinking, still more interested in sport, music and study than boys. My work is done? It should also be noted that when a friend turned up in a new RR SVR at the weekend, my daughter chose to go to the P2P in the 110, unlike my son who jumped straight in the SVR. Definitely a case to be made for a favourite child Laughing

Yep it was a great sound. Not sure I could bring myself to shell out £120K or whatever it was (is an Autobiography about that?). My P38 felt decidedly from another era after a spin in the SVR. My era though. Smile

Ha ha. Perhaps I didn't mention she learnt to drive in it (the basics) before taking her driving lessons which apparently made the car 'easy' in comparison! 2010 XS USW
