Not even 265x75R16! Only standard diameter is 235x85R16.

And, intriguingly, 7.50R16

Edit: The new KM3 scores 3/5 "pleasure" points on their website but the old one scores 5/5. Weird.

I couldn’t help but giggle 🤭 when I saw the pleasure rating.

I can imagine the meeting at BFG head quarters;

“guys, we objectively measured our new tyre against the competition and it SUCKS!”

“Don’t worry, we’ll give it a 3/5 pleasure rating- no other manufacturer’s tyre delivers any pleasures.. we can’t loose!!” 2014 Keswick Utility 2.2

Would there be in any point gathering a bunch of people and contacting BFG to petition for the the production of the KM3 in 255/85R16 also...? I don't understand why they don't do that size, pickup guys love it, it's perfect for Defenders, eve Toyota guys prefer it...

BFG declined to make the KO2 in that size. I can only presume that the market demand isn't big enough.

It's interesting that BFG have dropped the 265/75 size, I run KM2's in that size and am having serious doubts as the wear rate I'm getting is pretty poor. With previous BFG muds you could get 50K+ miles out of them, I've had just over 25K out of the fronts and had to replace them as they had got down to 3mm, the rears are worn down but not as bad and I managed to pick up some part worns off a friend to even up the "set" and when the lot have to be replaced they will not be with BFG's as at that wear rate it has become false economy for me to buy a premium brand. I might change size but I do like the 265 size for stance and ride.
It was interesting to talk to a chap on the Beartown Tyres stand at Malvern Show last year as I had asked if they did the 265/75 KM2 copies as they had 235/85's on the stand but not 265's plus they had KM2 copies of some 18" tyres. He told me that they wouldn't touch 265 KM2's as they were "wrong" for the tread pattern, they just couldn't get them to last wear wise at that width and profile so it's interesting to see BFG leave them out of the range

I could be completely wrong, but I expect BFG will want to offer as many sizes as they can in order to attract customers - relatively few OEMs (that I can see think of) fit their tyres, at least in the UK so they need to be attractive to the aftermarket, and offering lots of sizes is one way to do this.

At launch it’s hard to have enough stock of multiple sizes and there will be uncertainty as to how well the product will sell. I wouldn’t be surprised to see more sizes come online 6-12 months after launch.

If BFG stop offering the 255/85R16 mud I can only think of one other ‘premium’ tyre in that size- the Toyo open country M/T. 2014 Keswick Utility 2.2

Hi,

Maxxis I believe also offer one of their MT's in 255/85/16.

This argument is weakened though by BFG's persistent failure to produce the KO2 in 255/85 x 16.

The only Maxxis I can find listed in that size is the "Creepy Crawler"! Shocked

Creepy Crawler looks awesome! I think it’s not a radial tyre however, probably not something that wants to spend a lot of time on tarmac? I’d almost be tempted just for the look!! 2014 Keswick Utility 2.2
