Which wheels?
I’m thinking of changing my black modulars to silver boosts and have taken some pics to help me make up my mind. I prefer the look of the boosts with spacers fitted (1st pic) but I have always been wary of fitting spacers. Apart from the looks there are other benefits to spacers but what are the negatives and are my worries unfounded?

Spacers are fine as long as they are hub-centric and a quality make. My old 90 ran spacers for who knows how long with no issues. As does my 110 now

I recently fitted terrafirma spacers and larger tyres to mine and have noticed no difference.

I was also thinking about changing my Boosts for black mods but decided the boosts looked much better.

I ran spacers for over a year with no issues. Vastly improved the turning circle and gives a better stance IMO. Only taken off as I've changed to an alloy with wider offset.

Personally, I'm not keen on the silver boosts but purely personal preference. It looks like you're in to some pretty serious overlanding in which case wouldn't steel wheels be better? James

That is a very good looking Defender Whirly!

Boosts get my votes purely on aesthetics. They make your truck look so much classier. Thumbs Up

I was going for the boosts for their looks and the spacers to improve the stance. The spacers i've got are hubcentric so, re-assured by peoples comments, i think i'll fit them.

For the next couple of years it won't be doing anything too taxing, more of a holiday camper. It's big moment will come in 3 years when we ship it to Oz, spacers are illegal there so i'll probably put steels back on.

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

The trouble is you'll get used to the turning circle with spacers then when back to steels you'll make a right hash of parking!! Embarassed Rolling with laughter James

I ran the boosts with spacers for a while but still couldn’t decide between the boosts or modulars, I finally made a decision, I’m going with these -
