remote locking not working.... any thoughts...?
Hi guys, hope you can help, our Puma 110 has a remote fob for the central locking and immobiliser. All of a sudden it has stopped working, so I have to open the car with the key as central locking isnt working, then if I try to start it the alarm (horn sounding) goes off and it cuts out straight away, as if the immobiliser kicks in.

Any thoughts on whats needed. We have changed and checked the batteries in the fobs, checked the fuses etc, so just wondering what the issue might be?

Cheers guys

Mike

It appears the Immobiliser has packed up, what are the options here, can I just buy a new one or do I need a new ECU etc..? Has anyone else been through this before?

Cheers
Mike

You could try talking to Dan Padmore at Pace Automotice (formerly Defender Electronics), he seems a bit of a wiz with Defender electronics. James

Try checking the fuses. The mrs's double cab did the same and one had gone according to the Landrover assist bloke, I wasn't with the defender so don't know which fuse it was I'm afraid. Ray
