Brake fluid warning light

I replaced that cap dorsetsmith as well as fixing the wire and got it through the MOT test.
My brake warning light now comes on under hard braking or cornering.
It seems that the level sensor is a bit too sensitive. Is this common?

2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Stornoway Grey

It certainly is on Pumas. If the level is at the max mark, the light will flicker on if you brake going down a steep hill.

I keep my fluid at the base of the filler neck, a little above the max mark.

I imagine earlier vehicles may have similar quirks.

1998 Defender 90 300 Tdi SW Coniston Green

Yes, the sender is really "too sensitive".
My '98 300 has the same light almost always on.
It torns off only when you are completely stopped on a flat ground (and the level to the "max"). Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum

Thanks guys.
The flashing light really is quite annoying but if it's "normal" I'll live with it.

You can "fix" it disconnecting one of the wire from the sender, and checking level once a month. Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum
