Geobloke - basically i got a discovery switch off ebay, a couple of ecu pins and a bit of wire and followed this picture

There was a little more to it, but really not much. For the £20 and the hour so it cost me, it was great mod. As long as you have the standard transfer box (and gearbox) i would recommend it. Let me know if you need any more info or photos Thumbs Up

Grafty - 235/85s so nothing too big. I was wondering about a speedo healer, but wanted to try and understand it all first. I think i need to play around with the Ashcroft ratio tool http://www.ashcroft-transmissions.co.uk/calc/ratio_calc.html
to see what's changed, but does anyone know what exactly in aiming for? What parameters/ range is the ecu looking for?

Thanks

Mike

Just one more question if you can remember, you say you fitted a disco switch, can you remember which colour wires on the switch went to which pin on the ecu? On the switch I have a green a blue and a black and the diagram shows a red a green and an orange
Cheers

The on/off switch is a separate toggle switch, so that's the red on the diagram, feeding 12v into the disco swtich.

The Disco switch has the SET and RES functions, and I've just had a look on ebay and eBay Item No. 183130961613 (which also includes a nice on/off toggle switch) shows three wires; one will be the power in from the on/off toggle switch, and the other two will be when the SET and RES buttons make the respective circuits.

I'm not with the car at the moment, so can't check anything, but a mutlimeter and pressing the switches will tell you which of the three is which.

HTH

Cheers

Mike
