When you refit the viscous fan, presuming you do, it is not necessary to tighten it up with a spanner. All I ever do with mine is get the thread started by a couple of threads, start the engine and let that spin it on. job done. Makes getting it off next time soooo much easier

To answer your question, I haven't bought the Kenlowe as of yet but that is what I am considering.
I thought that these were the ultimate in cooling fans, what is the issue with them ?

I had one fitted to my 2006 110 TD5 roughly 9-10 years ago and I "thought" they were good... however the problem is the fitting via zip ties through the radiator, this causes the electric fan to rub on the radiator over time and create a hole. This was after 3-4 of years and small enough to stop with Radweld but will eventually fail...

They may well have changed this method of fitting by now but I wasn't impressed.

I have now fitted a kit from Revotec which on first impressions seemed good, they provide a custom made shrouding to fit the fan away from the radiator. But after an order mix up and a 10% charge to swap for the correct kit for my TD5, I still ended up modifying the shrouding to prevent rubbing on the radiator Crying or Very sad so not a great experience either but a much better concept for fitting the fan to the radiator.

Doesn't work so well off road or towing with a strong tailwind! ---
