Removing clutch slave flex pipe
Hi - any tips for removing the flex pipe from my 92 200tdi...

Flex pipe has worn through and needs replacing. I replaced the slave cylinder so have released the bottom part ok but the part that is attached to the bulkhead footwell is a bit of a rusted mess...

I’ve removed the exhaust down pipe and also the air feed from the snorkel to get access from the top to said bolts. Other than removing the wing are there any other bits that if removed may aid access?

Also just some confirmation of right sized spanner’s would be handy - for the pipe union nut and the nuts that sit either side of the mounting bracket, think they are imperial?

Cheers

Jim

Can’t think of the size off the top of my head but invest in a good set of pipe spanners, much better for this sort of job Thumbs Up 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

Thanks for the tip on pipe spanner’s.. in the end I couldn’t decide metric or imperial. I used a set of mole grips and an adjustable. Got it loose but then the bolt tightened up on the rust. Out with the Dremel... removed!

Taking the washer reservoir off gave up some more elbow room.
