Did you undo the adjustment screws?

Are they still attached to the motor?

Now getting out of my technical knowledge zone now.

Sounds like either the adjustment screws are not connected to the motors or some screws are done up too tight to allow the bowls to move freely.

Maybe ask on the technical/maintainence forums for more information/guidance.
