I've got first dibs to buy it back once it's finished in NZ, has been there 10 years now though!

Would you do it again or indeed in the current political climate ?

Having quite a few mates working in various types and levels of security, dotted all over Africa and the Mid-East, I think the days of a full-length trip down Africa, whilst not impossible, are now seriously risky. Obviously, anyone can do whatever they want and chance the risks associated with it, but a brief glance at a map of Africa and there is not one clear route, top to bottom, where there is not either localised political turmoil, full blown islamic insurgency or anything in between. The coast to coast belt of Sub Saharan countries, (Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Chad, Sudan, Somalia), across the middle of the continent, all have Islamic insurgencies, and each measure (north to south) a few thousand KMs to cross, so a European in a tricked up Landy might be all too tempting. I don't think I'd be doing it right now. Even with a shooter Whistle
