Well 1st week over with the new brakes on, shame the pedal is still spongey. So there is still air in the system.
Sad So i am having to back off a lot sooner than before, When you hit the brakes hard it doesnt pull to one side now, which is a massive improvement Smile Just needs another good bleed again and i think we will be back up to scratch there. Thumbs Up
Got my steering rods to go on too at some point too, Just to make the steering better, I am toying with the idea of doing a way with the terraferrma steering damper and getting a old man emu damper unit instead. As i am not to sure about the one i have one been all that. Smile
Also with the weather, Graftys vents have really made a difference with the heater, Now the car is warming better now since you can redirect the heat, to where you want it. Thumbs Up
I am going to see what £££ i have spare to see if i can push to get the new wheels on, and bin the cheap Censored thats on. Yes i did google these tyres and they are the cheapest tyre you can buy and Censored poor in the wet. So that might also be why i get a little un settled when changing lanes in the damp at speed! Also i have bought a replacement wiper switch to see if i can get the rear wiper system back up and running, but i suspect that the motor is burned out sadly. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

getting back to you about this, for some reason it does drive more better, More power for some reason.
You recon its the exhaust or the brakes causing it to be sluggish?
With the exhaust having a blow making it breath better or the brakes been on the ball. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

yesterday, I Had a look at our terrs speakers system, As I was getting the blame for the speakers not working, as I did install the new cd player, Rolling Eyes Laugh was that with all the rock and roll going on with the clutch fetish. My dad had caught the speaker wires that go under the floor to the cubby box. So with the wiring diagnosed, we had another go at my brakes,
Another good bleed and I have brakes now! Mr. Green Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

My dad decided to have a look at the state of the old brakes, He is wanting to rebuild them for his own. He stripped the two front ones down, and discovered the reason why, I brakes were bad. He discovered that the two rear pistons were seized. So they had been sticking on, hence why I might been down on power, and for the brake imbalance too. Hard to believe things like that goes through an mot! I hate to think if it was mot exempt! Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

MOTs are not to say a vehicle is safe to be driven at any time other than at the point of testing and even that can be questioned.

Sounds like your MPG should go up again with the leak fixed and a sticking callipers sorted you will be much better off Thumbs Up 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html
