United Kingdom 1995 Defender 110 300 Tdi CSW Epsom Green
Many thanks to Barbara and Brendan for the most speedy service.

Parts ordered at silly o'clock one night over the weekend and put into my hand by the delivery chap this morning at about 9:30.

Here is what it looks like on the mud console in case anyone wants to see or needs ideas.

Square base RAM mount (screws will be painted matt black when I find the paint).

With the short arm and X Grip fitted

And finally with a phone in situ (same size as the new one but without case, the new one was taking the photo's but does fit in it's book style case and is held firmly).

Hope this is of use to someone out there who is struggling with options. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.

Regarding positioning of GPS, phones, gauges and so on, they seem to be pushing for similar restrictions as windscreen cracks... essentially not allowing anything in the swept area of the wind screen. There have been a number of police forces recently releasing advisory images around this and suggesting that it will be treated in the same way as a defective windscreen... and what do points make ???

Interesting that there are pics of the mud gauge pod that mounts on the top of the dash, I installed then immediately removed mine because I found it obscured the view of the road on the nearside. Maybe OK if you are tall enough to see over the top of it but I'd be wary of driving around with it installed, especially when it's not got any gauges in it !
