Tow Bar
Hello
I want to fit a tow bar on my 90 200tdi. It has a Marsland galvanised chassis which has a TD5 crossmember. I have had a look online and under my LR and the brackets on the chassis don't look the same as mine has ARB brackets fitted..
Will the tow bar still fit to these holes?
I have read on the Marsland site :
The TD5 rear crossmember is the same size and shape but has the large hole for trailer socket, and the tow bar mounting holes are slightly different. If you have a Dixon Bate adjustable towbar we supply a bracket which re-aligns the holes or you will need to fit a Land Rover 110 TD5 tow bar, Part No. LR006310.
After a search I found that another forum member tried the 110 TD5 tow bar but that didn't fit...
Has anyone with a Marsland Tdi chassis fitted a tow bar and if so which one?
Thanks

I had a quick look under my 90 td5. The tow bar is connected to the support brackets for the fuel tank, so completely different than on a 200 tdi.

I am not sure you can see that on this picture. Roel

Thats a great help Roel. I don't have any brackets other than the ARB bracket.. If I get time tomorrow I will have a trip up to the local indy garage and see if they have anything. Thanks again!

Problem solved.. My local indy gave me a witter 110 Td5 kit to try and it fits... just need to get it painted now and sort a couple of bolts out for where the arms fasten onto the chassis as I don't have the tow eye bolts that should be re-used..

the tow eye bolts wont be expensive from Land rover, and they're galvanised.
