TD5 Driver's Seat Mechanism
On the driver's seat of my 2004 TD5, the seat recliner mechanism ratchet has broken [I think a tooth has snapped off]; the mechanism was previously very stiff. Is it possible to replace the mechanism, or do I simply need to get a new seat back.

Thanks for any advice.

You can strip them down and re-cut the teeth on the mechanism. But if you want a quick fix, new frame would do the trick

Thank you both - much appreciated. Having failed with all the standard on-line retailers to get one, I got a new seat back from eBay for £42 + P & P. It will do but may consider replacing all the seats for something newer.
