If your wipers are sloppy, as most are, perhaps consider changing the wiper wheel boxes... 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)

Replace the wiper park switch while you're at it, and the wiper cable. Ours broke without a warning when we were on our way to holiday, so we spend an evening repairing it on a cold and wet parking.

I also added a second windscreen washing unit earlier. Moved the middle one to one of the blanked of holes and added a second washer unit in the hole on the other side. You'll need some tubing and a T-piece and evidently a second unit. I used a generic one from paddock which is annoyingly just a little bit shorter that OEM. They're actually useful millimeters which made it quite a fiddly job.

Also replace the wiper interval switch by a programmable one, it's behind the clocks. One of the things that you'll appreciate every single time that you use it

Another 12v socket? Always handy in this age of smartphones with 12h battery life!

^^^^ I wonder if he means the intermittent wipe relay?

On a Tdi you can fit an adjustable timer relay instead of the LR one, and then adjust the timing of the intermittent wipes. I think it's a VW/Audi part. I've done it on mine, but on a 300tdi, this relay is behind the fuse box rather than the clocks.

It's a dead simple, but really effective mod. Donald

Indeed, sorry for the translation error.
Did a quick double check because it hasbeen a while:: the wiper intermittent relay on post 2002/15p Td5's (like ours) is behind the speedo, earlier models have it with the other relays.
It's a red Lucas one. If you swap it for this Bosch relay (or the Volkswagen 99 relay IIRC), then you can determine the interval. Push the wiper stalk down, up and down and it continues with the same duration as you took between the up and down, as long as it's shorter than 20 seconds. Standard interval when you just push the stalk down is 6 seconds.

Hope that's clear.

Greetings,

Joris

You could do the dual windscreen washer jet mod, take the original out of its central position and with another one place them in the other position holes for the wipers when in the LHD position. Put a "T" pieice in the feed pipe and a bit of new pipe to each new jet.

Would it be worth adding a heated screen loom?

The winter mods are springing to mind, side demister kit is needed.
