Station wagon sliding window catch upgrade?
Within the last few weeks I'm sure I saw that somebody had started to produce an upgraded replacement sliding window catch in billet aluminium (assume Croytec / Gore / Optimill), but for the life of me I now cannot find it anywhere. I have tried numerous web searches, Facebook searches, and aforementioned supplier websites, all to no avail.

Does anyone else recall having seen something along these lines? Or did I imagine it? 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

If you did imagine them, well someone ought to make them! Sounds like a good idea to me. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

They are on the list! Is it just the metal part or is there a preference for the whole fixture? I haven’t looked at it in any detail yet but from memory the internal catch is plastic and weak, and the external metal part bubbles nicely. In any event it will be a few months before we get to it. Window blocks will be available in the next fortnight, Rosco has already got a set!

HI, Croytec has them in the new 2017 price list but not in the shop yet.
I’ve asked John for more information but didn’t get an answer until now.

I can vouch for the quality of Huttopia's window blocks. Hopefully I'll get them painted in the next couple of weeks so can get them fitted and replace the terrible OEM ones.

As for the window catches I would have thought the whole thing needs upgrading. The outer piece is of usual LR low quality and quickly looks unsightly, and the inner part is plastic so probably the weakest security feature fitted, if not the most often defeated.

Be interested to see what solutions become available Thumbs Up 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone
