I'm after a 911, so my beautiful defender is up for sale. It is quite unique in the UK as it is a genuine Land Rover Defender "Ice edition" (the "fire and ice" editions were only available in Europe and Asia in 2009/2010) and of course its Left Hand Drive (LHD).

I purchased it new in April 2010 from the LR dealership Autobritt in Geneva, I then imported it when I returned to the UK in March 2011. It has served us as a 3rd car / holiday car. It has been dinitrolled / waxoyled and garaged from new.

It is finished in Alaska white with metallic black roof and bonnet. It has only covered 27,000 miles (43,000 kms) , I am the first and only owner.

It is an XS specification, having remote central locking, ABS/Traction, heated windscreen, 6 speed transmission, radio/CD,air conditioning as per the XS models, however the Ice edition adds heated alcantara Recaro sport seats, grey alcantara finish to all 7 seats, LR LED lights and some additional LR badges. The interior is as it came out of the factory, complete with black carpet, rubber mats, and a white inset centre panel. As you know these vehicles are no longer being built and very few LHD models are available in the UK, this would make a great investment but equally a great choice for anyone immigrating to mainland Europe or beyond.

It has a few modifications including Ashcroft front and rear LSDs, some additional security measures, LED headlights. I'm not going to list them all, if you are interested, please come and see it for yourself.

It comes complete with a MOT (March 2018), 5 good tyres, 5 SVX alloy wheels, The original sales documentation, the original LR service and hand book (in French) plus the English language versions, a wallet of service paperwork, second set of keys, security information pack, and a European certificate of conformity (you may need this if you decide to export it again).

Looking for offers around £30k

PM for details
Going on PistonHeads later

BPMan, you probably know this already, but maybe consider using Autoscout as well, given it is LHD with French booklets. Defs are sooper-expensive over here, plus the site covers Germany, Italy, Spain etc etc:

^^ as well as www.autoscout24.ch or even better https://www.autoscout24.be/fr/
The second one seems the most appropriate for this particular vehicle,no? Cool
In any case, GLWTS Thumbs Up
Eric

P.S. wonder how long it will take before your will look at buying another Series or Defender again. Whistle You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

911's are great cars, but then I'm biased. Air cooled are the "proper" 911's but to be honest the Cayman is a better drive and I nearly pulled the trigger on one until I found my current 911.

If you have never had a 911 be very wary as there is a lot of tarted up stuff out there especially air cooled cars.

you have to learn how to drive an older 911 or as you say you can easily end up spinning out of control especially in the wet. Rolling Eyes
